fanana

Mlambokatzi Fanana is the founder and executive director at Selemo Investment Holdings - a dynamic businessman, intrepid serial entrepreneur and a seasoned Corporate Finance and Investment professional with a wealth of knowledge in pipeline origination, capital raise, valuations, due diligence, deal structuring, portfolio build and fund management. With an uncanny knack for new ideas and a pioneering spirit, Mlambokatzi has founded and invested in successful businesses in Financial Services, Information Technology, Marketing and Brand Communications in South Africa and Lesotho.

Before the advent of Selemo Investment Holdings, Mlambokatzi started his career as a marketing professional in South Africa where he plied his trade for reputable international advertising agency networks like Ogilvy and BBDO. His portfolio includes award-winning work for blue chip brands like Levis, Virgin Atlantic, KFC and DSTv. His work as a communication specialist, brand strategist and a distinguished copy writer garnered recognition that earned him British D&AD for writing, Cannes Award and New York One Show.
But it wouldn’t be too long before the entrepreneurship and business world started calling. He founded Movings Ads, South Africa, The Creative Lab and Channel Communications, Lesotho – a bespoke Alternative Media and Brand Communications company, and a boutique IT Services outfit, which employed over 70 people between them. With Selemo Investment Holdings; Mlambokatzi desired to create an investment firm that facilitates high value investments that match productive pipeline with structured capital - and a conduit to broad funding ecosystems, equity capital and blended finance instruments.
In his leadership role at Selemo Investment Holdings, he is responsible for execution of Multi-fund Venture Capital and Private Equity strategies, capital raise campaigns, domestic fund mobilization, fund management, allocation and deployment of disciplined, productive capital investment.
